Bactekiller Inorganic Antibacterial Agent
Bactekiller: The Inorganic Antibacterial Agent That Protects Everyday Life
It effectively suppresses bacteria, mold, and viral activity encountered in everyday life, helping create a comfortable and pleasant living environment. We also offer application-ready compounds containing stabilizers and other additives, enabling a wide variety of materials to deliver antibacterial and antifungal performance.
Features
1) Outstanding Antibacterial and Antifungal Performance
Bactekiller derives its effectiveness from antibacterial metal ions contained in its ceramic carrier. When incorporated into PE, PS, PP, ABS, PET, PA, and other materials, it inhibits bacteria and mold and helps prevent slime formation, microbial deterioration, and unpleasant odors.
2) Excellent Heat Resistance
Because Bactekiller is composed of inorganic materials, its structure remains unaffected even at temperatures above 500°C. It can therefore be used extensively in thermoplastic and thermosetting resins.
3) Proven Safety
Bactekiller contains no harmful heavy metals. Its safety has been confirmed through tests on the active substance, including acute oral toxicity, primary skin irritation, and mutagenicity.
4) Long-Lasting Antibacterial and Antifungal Performance
The antibacterial metal ions are stably incorporated in Bactekiller’s ceramic carrier, so they are scarcely leached or volatilized. This provides long-lasting antibacterial and antifungal performance.
5) Reliability Verified Using a Proprietary Test Method
The inherent antibacterial properties of molded products containing Bactekiller were evaluated together with environmental discoloration resistance using our proprietary test method, confirming reliable performance in practical applications.
Antibacterial Mechanism
Silver ionsattack
structures in microbial proteins, including disulfide bonds (-S-S-), hydrogen bonds, and thiol groups (-SH),
causing them to break down and denature. This damages the microbial cell membrane and impairs metabolic function through enzyme inactivation,
thereby inhibiting microbial proliferation.
Silver ions damage the cell wall
Enzyme activity is inhibited
Microbial proliferation is suppressed
