Microkiller® Antibacterial and Antifungal Agent
Setting the Global Standard for Functional Materials
Proprietary Brand
Microkiller® (Mai Kang Li)
These antibacterial and antifungal products can be used in the manufacture of liquid or solid protected products. They may also be added directly to plastics or plastic precursors to protect finished plastic articles from microbial degradation or provide antibacterial activity at the surface.
1. Service and Support
The concentration required for protection depends on several factors, including the system’s susceptibility to microbial degradation, the extent and type of microbial contamination, pH, temperature, humidity, and the required duration of protection. The efficacy of these products has been demonstrated under representative end-use conditions. Nevertheless, testing under actual service conditions is recommended to determine the most cost-effective dosage.
If you encounter difficulties in an application, our company can advise you on the correct use of this product.
2. Health and Safety
A Safety Data Sheet is supplied for every antibacterial and antifungal product. Updated health and safety information is provided regularly to help protect your employees and customers.
3. Regulatory Information
The active ingredients in these antibacterial and antifungal products are listed in the following chemical inventories:
EINECS/ELINCS (European Union)
EPA FIFRA (United States)
ACOIN (Australia)

6. Application Guide:
|
Material |
Application |
| PVC Plastisol | For PVC plastisol applications, add the product together with the other additives. Base the dosage on the total formulation weight. |
| PVC | Add it to the mixed liquid phase, PVC resin, or solid resin, then shear-mix to obtain a dry blend. The material can then be formed by extrusion, calendering, molding, or another suitable process. |
| Polyurethane | For polyurethane applications, add the product to the polyol together with the isocyanate. Base the dosage on the intended concentration in the final reacted product. |
| Thermoplastic Polymers | 1. For thermoplastics (PVC, thermoplastic polyurethane, synthetic rubber, and thermoplastic acrylic resins), meter the product into the melt at the concentration required in the final application, for example in the mixing zone of an extrusion system. 2. Alternatively, prepare a masterbatch containing up to 20% of the product. Before subsequent melt processing, blend the masterbatch with untreated polymer at a rate calculated to deliver the required antibacterial-agent concentration in the final product. |
| Silicone Resin | For silicone sealants, add it to the silicone oil before resin processing, or to the manufacturing vessel before packaging. |
| Natural Rubber | It can be added directly to rubber latex. |
| Polyolefins | It can be incorporated into a masterbatch. |
| Antibacterial Coatings | Add this product directly to a coating system to produce an antibacterial coating. Consult the detailed application literature for more information. |
