SAUBERTAC NANO-20/20K Antibacterial Deodorizing Agent
SAUBERTAC NANO-20 effectively neutralizes malodor components in perspiration, including ammonia and acetic acid. It is a deodorizing finishing agent for textiles whose nanoscale active deodorizing component provides excellent laundering durability.
SAUBERTAC NANO-20K is an antibacterial deodorizing finishing agent for textiles that combines SAUBERTAC NANO-20 with an antibacterial agent. In addition to neutralizing unpleasant odors, its antibacterial action suppresses odors caused by bacterial growth.

Features
* Rapidly neutralizes perspiration odor.
* Nanoscale particles penetrate into fibers, providing excellent laundering durability.
* Minimal settling of the deodorizing component in the treatment bath enables stable processing.
* Adding antibacterial SAUBERTAC NANO-20K provides long-lasting durability and excellent antibacterial performance.
Directions for Use
• For pad application, use 6–10% o.w.f. SAUBERTAC NANO-20/20K together with 2–3% o.w.f. companion resin.
• A sufficient add-on per unit area is required to achieve the desired deodorizing effect.
For low-basis-weight materials, process at a higher add-on level of 10 g/m² or more.
• A-400K is recommended as the companion resin. Because A-400K may affect the hand of the fabric, use it together with S-10 softener.
Applications
Cotton, synthetic fibers, and blends (for finishing outerwear, underwear, and home-textile products)
Performance Evaluation
Treated fabric: Knitted cotton (180 g/m²)
Treatment concentration: 6% aqueous solution of SAUBERTAC NANO-20/20K
2% aqueous solution of A-400K
2% aqueous solution of S-10
Treatment: Impregnation (100% wet pickup), drying (105°C × 5 min), and curing (130°C × 1 min)
Laundering method: 10 and 30 wash cycles in accordance with JIS L 0217, Method 103.

Measurement method: JIS L 1902:2008, Testing for Antibacterial Activity and Efficacy on Textile Products (quantitative method).
Test organism: Staphylococcus aureus NBRC 12732.
Assessment: A bacteriostatic activity value of 2.2 or higher indicates antibacterial effectiveness (JTETC criterion).
The test is valid when the growth value is 1.0 or higher.
Precautions
* Because of the nature of the product, component separation and settling may occur. Shake thoroughly before use.
* Note that the deodorizing component can precipitate when the treatment bath is acidic (pH 5.5 or below).
* When using with other auxiliaries, confirm compatibility in advance.
* Always test the relevant fastness properties of all dyes, including fluorescent dyes (fluorescent whiteness, lightfastness, rub fastness, etc.).
* Store sealed in a cool indoor location. Use promptly after opening.
