Microkiller® SR-FB-103 Antibacterial Finishing Agent
SR-FB-103 is an antibacterial finishing agent for cotton, polyester, nylon, and their blended or union fabrics. It is especially suitable for garment linings, sportswear, workwear, bed covers, quilts, shirts, tops, skirts, garment accessories, floor mats, and similar products.
Even at low concentrations, SR-FB-103 inhibits both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
Testing has confirmed that SR-FB-103 provides marked inhibition of the following microorganisms:
Gram-positive bacteria: hemolytic streptococci and Staphylococcus aureus
Microorganisms associated with perspiration: Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Bacillus subtilis, and Corynebacterium diphtheriae;
Gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli;
Enteric pathogens: Salmonella enterica and Klebsiella pneumoniae;
Skin microorganisms: Staphylococcus epidermidis and micrococci;
Fungi: Candida albicans and Trichophyton species

Specific gravity (25°C): 1.01–1.11 g/cm³
Storage stability: one year in a sealed container at 20°C;
Environmental/toxicity information: follow standard hygiene and safety practices during storage, handling, and use. Do not ingest this product.
Application
Recommended formulations:
(1) 100% polyester: heat-set the fabric before dyeing. Apply using a high-temperature dyeing process.
Liquor ratio: 1:20

Appropriate amounts of dispersing and leveling agents
Process:Raise the temperature from 20°C to 130°C at 1–1.5°C/min, hold at 130°C for 30 min (depending on shade depth), then cool, wash with hot and cold water and, if necessary, reduction-clear, rinse, neutralize, and dry.
A one-bath process is recommended for antibacterial finishing of polyester/cotton blends.
(2) Nylon fabrics (winch, overflow, or jet dyeing)
Liquor ratio: 1:20

Appropriate amounts of retarding agent and other auxiliaries
Process:Raise the temperature from 20°C to 95°C, hold at 95°C for 60 min, then cool, wash, and dry. Dosage: 2–3%.
(3) Cotton fabrics
1. For pad-dyeing, prepare SR-FB-103 at 10–40 g/L. Use one dip and one nip at a 70% wet pickup, then dry under standard process conditions.
2. For exhaust application, use SR-FB-103 at 1–2% owf with a liquor ratio of 1:15–20. Treat at 50–60°C for 30 minutes, then dry under standard process conditions.
3. For spray application, use SR-FB-103 at 1.0–3.0% owf, diluted tenfold. Ensure an even spray application and heat-dry at 80–100°C.
Precautions
• This product may cause slight color changes;
• Any color shift can be corrected by adjusting the dye formulation;
• For this organic antibacterial agent, do not exceed heat-setting conditions of 170°C × 30 min;
