IONPURE® Inorganic Silver-Based Antibacterial Agent
About IONPURE
IONPURE
is an inorganic antibacterial agent made of 100% glass powder.
IONPURE consists of fine soluble-glass particles containing antibacterial metal ions.
When people think of glass, they usually picture bottles and windows, so it may be hard to imagine glass dissolving in water. In fact, by altering its composition, glass can be made water-soluble.
This Is IONPURE
IONPURE is a glass material incorporating silver ions with antibacterial activity.
The gradual release of these metal ions provides effective, sustained inhibition of bacterial growth.
IONPURE is a white, flour-like powder that can be blended into resin.
Mechanism of Antibacterial Action
IONPURE is made of 100% glass. On contact with moisture, it dissolves slowly and releases metal ions over time. These ions inhibit bacterial reproduction and growth, thereby providing an antibacterial effect.
